Our Programs
Our Mission
Explore our efforts that positively impact youth and families … because they’re worth it. At Volunteers for Youth, we have the vision that all Rogers County youth succeed. The programs in place to achieve this vision include a site-based and group mentoring program (PAL+), an after-school setting for students in grades 6, 7 & 8 (BLAST), a Drug-Free Communities project in the Oologah-Talala school district, a Healthy Living Program funded through the Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust, and our local Farmer’s Market.
Get Involved
The PAL Program is a site-based mentoring program that matches a Rogers County public school student with a caring adult mentor. The mentor strives to be the student’s friend, role model, motivator, and personal advocate. The mentor’s purpose is to build self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth in the student while building a friendship. Mentors are good listeners, people who care, and people who want to help young people discover their strengths. If you are interested in volunteering, please see the Volunteer Application.
